Large site with Scruffy pitches, EHU, s looked very dated and, rear panels were open so looked a bit unsafe, motorhome service point a shambles, on the plus side shower blocked heated and the showers were great. On site restaurant/cafe very busy, lovey walk/cycle into Burgos along the river 4 Kilometers from the site, OK stop over for us as we headed south, approx 2.5 hours from Santander Ferry.
We arrived on a Friday and was very busy .
Toilet block was very dated but hot showers were good.
Wi-Fi is supposed to be included but we were told not working .
Restaurant and bar very reasonable interesting atmosphere.
Great location for Burgos.
A pleasant site very close to beautiful Burgos. Shower room was very cold but temperatures dropped to freezing so understandable food was really fabulous and very cheap. All in all a good stay
Another of our stopover sides going south / north. Good sized pitches. Toilets could do with a refurbishment. Restaurant serves good local food at reasonable prices. Excellent walking into Burgos and surrounding area, great if, like us, you have dogs.
Despite some negative comments by other reviewers we found this site to be absolutely fine. Flat pitches, nice bar and restaurant on site. The 40 min walk/cycle alongside the river into Burgos is delightful, as is the town, with an impressive cathedral, a castle and many bars and restaurants. The toilet block, although slightly tired, always had ample hot water and was very clean.
We stayed for just 2 nights and this site was ideal for that. The receptionist was helpful and there was a choice of many good pitches all with electricity. The loos and showers were good, but not up to UK standards. The pool was closed. The cafe served us patatas bravas which were not good but the chorizo sausage was fine. Perhaps the best thing for us was the excellent cycle lane into the middle of the fine city of Burgos. Would certainly recommend this site for a few days.
Pleasant site with good size pitches. Situated in quiet area by the river. Lovely walk /cycle into town. Great bar and restaurant serving good food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again.
Spent one night here en route for southern Spain. Easy walking or cycling access to city centre where we really enjoyed the Museo de la Evolucion Humana and a walk up to the castle. No time to visit inside the cathedral - next time! Pleasant site for motorhomes, level, facilities rather tired and old but mainly used our own. The bungalows looked very old and run down at least from the outside. Would stay again as a stopover. Had read that Burgos can be very cold, and it was below freezing at night but a very comfortable 19 degrees in the afternoon in mid February.
This site was a stopover going south and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and although we did not eat in the restaurant we had a drink in the bar which was fun. Access to the town was via a footpath & only 3.5kms.
Campsite is very convenient for Burgos, on a cycle path along the river. Staff very helpful. Pitches are not massive but adequate in size. Good motorhome service point.
